Finding inspiration in all the strangest places. Not knowing where to turn, I find strength from deep within myself. Remembering how much I love creating, I continue to push forward.

As the new year approaches, so does my deadline for having my website up and running. I doubt I’ll be able to get the shop running… and if I did it wouldn’t have anything to sell. So, first things first. Complete the website.

As time passes, and I get closer and closer to launch date, I’ve begun to worry about just how much of my goals I’ll have completed by the time everything goes live. The goal of having a Website/Blog/Store/Portfolio and having a decent selection of T-shirts to sell by New Years seems further and further from reach. Everytime I sit down to review my progress, I tell myself I’ll work harder, cut more hours from other activities, etc…
I’m so tired of everything I want being second to everything else.
I’m ready to blast outta here and hit Xscape Velocity.

Going through withdraws from having not drawn anything in a while… I have been sketching, some rough ideas/concepts, more brainstorming than anything else. But most of my time has been spent in RnD phase.
My brain needed a release.

“The Shadows of Clouds, Passing Over Mountains.”
I’m enjoying the Inky Leak Brush set I scooped up from GrutBrushes, I have an idea for a whole series of illustrations with them, but that’ll be for another time. For now, I’m just experimenting and getting a feel for what each of them do.
When I sat down to create today, I initially started to make another series of thumbnail/paintover/explorations, but I got distracted by some of the earlier stages and just started having fun. Before I knew it I had something that was really catching my eye and I just rolled with it.
A previous version had her blowing air bubbles out of each sides of her mouth apparatus, like deep sea divers might. I’ll probably revisit the idea, putting her under water, with hair flowing and maybe some pipes/chains flowing out and around her.
Time will tell.
For now, it’s bedtime.
Journey before Destination

I’ve been wanting to get back into photo manipulation for awhile now. Having leveled up my painting skills, I’m interested in seeing how the two will combine.
I guess we’ll see.

I wasn’t sure where to start.
I had this idea (unclear as it was/is), but just couldn’t seem to figure out the best way to express it. So, instead of sitting around thinking about it, I just started creating.
Creation turns out to be a great place to start creating.
Expect to see more thumbnails in the future while I’m sorting through my blueprints and gathering tools.
The Journey is becoming quite exciting!
