Having a blast having my family in town for the holidays. Excited to see what 2014 has in store for me!
Month: December 2013
Purple Pillows
It was mid autumn when I visited the Botanical Gardens and there were all sorts of beautiful flowers, plants, and landscapes to photograph. I can only image what it looks like in Spring or Summertime.
Flare
I’ve often been told that you shouldn’t put the focal point in the dead center of your work, but I think rules are meant to be bent and sometimes broken. :)
Knowledge Glows at Night
The campus library’s aura seems to be at war against the fog of darkness that surrounds it.
Astronaut
Taking night pictures has become one of my favorite ways to photograph these days, there are some really cool effects you can get with just a change in your shutter speed or aperture. My second hand tripod isn’t the best in the world, but I’ve found I can shoot things I would have never been able to without it. I love it!
The couple shots I got during this shoot was when the fog was pretty thick outside and I’m pretty happy with the results.
Kitchen Protected
Although, the reasons why a spool of barbwire occupies a space on my kitchen floor are complicated, I do appreciate the simplicity of the shot I got out of it.
Bridge of Tabitha
Just slept for slept for 10 hours… still have much catching up to do and I will approach this task with as much enthusiasm as possible. It feels a little foreign, sleeping unconcerned with having to be up at a certain time or having a list of things that need to be done by such and such time… but I could definitely get use to it. :D
I have a month before Spring semester starts and I suppose I should be using my time wisely… But until I start doing that I’m enjoying the freedom of having time to myself. Reading The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan (book two tonight) and maybe, if the feeling strikes me, I might rake my yard… probably not.
This is a picture of a building across from the library (second home) in downtown Fayetteville. Another portfolio piece meeting the requirement for “Architecture and Interiors.”
“Fourth Wall”
After 4+ hours in the computer lab last night and a couple hours today, I’m all finished with Fall Semester, I eagerly await being able to share these holidays with my family and friends… it feels like I haven’t slept in ages. :) Life of a student I suppose.
I stumbled on this shot by accident, I was about to pack up and go home and I decided to take some shots of the stairwell and this glass case was right next to it (full of TV screens).
This is at my school.
Light Speed
Another photograph from my portfolio, this one fills the requirement for Shutter Speed and Motion.
I finish two classes today and then I can focus on putting together my photography portfolio in lab this afternoon. Hope to have most (if not all) of it done today so I can start enjoying my Winter Break.
A whole month off. Can’t wait!!!
:D
Alien Invasion
Another image from my photography class, not sure if this is one I’ll include in my portfolio or not, but it’s in my folder to choose from. Just finished one of my classes, three more to go. Math-140 Final tomorrow. 8)
