Verena, Why So Angry?

Verena faces

The library came swooping in and saved me during my time without an internet connection.

Was able to find some great references for the face structure that I felt was right for Verena, not particularily sold on any hairstyle as of yet, but I feel I’m getting closer… Glasses or no glasses?  That is the question.

In the spirit of the progress of seen yesterday, I continued testing out the new process.  This time placing Red in her Academy Uniform, it feels right… although her left leg does not.  :D

Been spending most of my days off reading The Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson, about half way done with it now… won’t see part three until sometime in early 2017 probably.  :(

More quick gestures, just practicing getting the pose down quickly without much thought.

Was watching some art related Youtube videos earlier and came across the Youtube user Jakub Javora and his showreel, which featured an environment that had some pretty cool geometry.  Just looking at all the cool angles and groovy spaces made me want to build it in Halo’s Forge… unfortunately, I no longer have an Xbox One, so I thought the next best thing would be to quickly sketch it.

When I opened my sketchbook, I noticed the similarities in angle and flow of the environment and what I had sketched yesterday and decided to put two and two together.  I didn’t get four, but I did get a pretty cool sketch.  :)
