It still is a conscious effort not to draw and instead paint. I feel closer everytime I work in Photoshop and I love that feeling. Having to tear myself away, because I just want to keep adding, touching it up, creating.
I must have patience.
I must use my time wisely.
I must paint.
P.S. – I didn’t realize how jarring that canvas flip would be when I saved it, in hindsight I should have flipped it back beforehand. But it is super helpful for picking up errors and weird anomalies your eyes don’t see.

Good one! :)
Thanks!!! :)
Looks great! Somehow I never knew how much a simple flip can change your perception of an image…
It’s really effective. I’ve always seen people do it on those YouTube speedpaint videos, but I only just started doing it.
Ah yes, the magical flip :)
Fascinating how very subtle differences completely change the facial expressions
Yes, a very powerful little mind trick for sure. But really helpful.
You are so cool. I just love it. Your passion and joy comes through in your work, Jesse! I.M. approves! You are on a beautiful roll <3
:)
This is definitely an interesting time for me artistically and I’m really enjoying the journey. Thank you as always for coming along for the ride. <3
