Painting when I paint.
No sleep, no need, no pain.
Don’t wait, just paint.
It’s interesting how much more I’ve learned once I started paying less attention to creating an exact reproduction of the reference material and just worked toward capturing the essence of the initial image.
Feels like I’ve given myself permission to freely experiment, to make mistakes and learn from them.
I had a ton of fun playing with textures and irregular colors. Mostly used a dry brush with a decent stiffness to it and added textures with a couple painterly brushes (mostly my impasto brush).
Only cost me staying up an hour and a half later than I was suppose to to accomplish this. XD
I see a path
This is the journey

Yes, you should always add yourself to your images!
I’m beginning to see that.
It’s really intriguing seeing it working.
Most exciting.
Looking very much alive! Roll on, my brother!
Thanks Laura! <3
It’s really cool to see the reference image side by side with the finished result :) adds another dimension to it, I think.
Wow you are very talented!
Thank you. :)
