I think this is my favourite of the paintings you did so far :D it has the feel of the old masters’ oil paintings, positioning, colours, pose.. I’m very bad with names, so even if it was a tribute I wouldn’t be able to tell which one :)

It was a Master Study of the Day challenge at Conceptart.org. I haven’t done one in ages, but I saw this pop up on my FB feed (which is weird because this challenge (484) was from 2015). *shrug*
It’s called ‘Day Dream’ from a French artist named Charles Amable Lenoir.

I’ve been experimenting with some different approaches when I paint, really wanting to force myself away from relying on Linework so heavily.
I’m just too use to drawing and not painting.
I know that feeling, I am so used to my pencils that I even try drawing with brushes.
